Technology is the language of the future.

Every child has the right to their own language.

SignPrep makes it a reality.

Around 90–95% of children who use sign language grow up in families where no one else signs. Without early access to a national or regional sign language, they can face significant barriers to communication, education, and family bonding – not because of who they are, but because of stigma and lack of resources.

SignPrep is a pan-European Erasmus+ project that is changing this. We create free, engaging sign language learning tools for children, their hearing guardians, and their teachers – so that families can learn together, and no child is left without a language to call their own.

  • For families

Learning a new language as an adult can be daunting, especially when the stakes feel personal. SignPrep gives families a gentle, playful way in - a free game you can sit down and explore together, at your own pace, without needing any prior knowledge.

  • For children

Children learn best when learning feels like play. Our Minecraft-based tool lets children discover sign language in a world built for curiosity - picking up vocabulary through story, challenge, and exploration rather than drills or worksheets.

  • For teachers

Sign language teachers carry an enormous responsibility with very few dedicated resources to support them. SignPrep provides lesson plans, a multilingual sign dictionary, and a classroom guide to Minecraft Education - practical tools designed by and for educators.
